What does this fault code mean?
The control module detects an open circuit in the solenoid that cools the clutch for the even gears and controls the pressure for the gear change. The solenoid therefore cannot be controlled as it should, and gear changes are affected.
Possible causes
- Damaged solenoid
- Connector or circuit board damaged or dirty
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then road test to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop inspect the solenoid connector and circuit board for oxidation, dirt and metal deposits
- 3If no fault is found, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit, since the fault then lies in the solenoid or the control module

- The malfunction indicator lamp (Check engine) comes on or behaves abnormally
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- Gear changes are harsh or jerky
- No automatic gear change
- Gear changes take a long time
