What does this fault code mean?
The pressure for clutch 1, which is used for the odd gears, is lower than the control module requests. The module regulates hydraulic pressure with a pump and solenoids, so the fault may lie in the pressure, in the solenoids, or in the oil level.
Possible causes
- Low oil level in the transmission
- Damaged pressure sensor
- Damaged driver stage for solenoid CSPS1
- Solenoid CSMS1, which controls clutch pressure, is damaged
- Valve CSM1, which directs pressure between clutch and shift, is damaged
- Damaged temperature sensor
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check that the oil level in the transmission is correct, since a low level can cause the fault
- 2Read and clear the code, then road test to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop inspect the solenoid connector and circuit board for oxidation and dirt, and check the valve and sensors
- 4If no fault is found, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit

- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- Gear changes take a long time
- Gear changes happen too early, too late or too often
- No automatic gear change
