What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module (TCM) uses sensors to monitor the transmission's parts. The pressure sensor for the clutch that serves the odd gears measures the pressure in that clutch. The code is set when the signal from that pressure sensor is too low, and the fault can be in the sensor or in its connection.
Possible causes
- The pressure sensor is short-circuited to ground
- The pressure sensor for the clutch for odd gears is damaged
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: read the pressure sensor signal in live data and compare it with the other values in the transmission.
- 2Check that the connectors to the pressure sensor are secure and not corroded.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire from the pressure sensor is not shorted to ground (the body).
- 4Have a workshop check the pressure sensor and its connection, as the fault may require the mechatronic unit to be replaced.
- 5If a new control module is fitted, a workshop must program it, as it is supplied without software.

- Harsh or jerky gear changes
- Gear changes happen too early, too late or too often
- Long gear change times
- No movement forward or backward in the selected position
