What does this fault code mean?
The pressure sensor for the clutch that serves the even gears sends too high a signal. The transmission control module (TCM) monitors the clutch pressure levels, and the code is set when the signal exceeds what is expected. The sensor may be short-circuited to voltage or be damaged.
Possible causes
- The pressure sensor is short-circuited to voltage
- The pressure sensor for the clutch for even gears is damaged
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: read the pressure sensor signal in live data and see whether it is high compared with the one for the odd gears.
- 2Look at the connectors to the pressure sensor and check that they are secure and not corroded.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire from the pressure sensor has no contact with plus (battery voltage).
- 4If the wire is in order, have a workshop check the pressure sensor and, if needed, replace the mechatronic unit.
- 5After a mechatronic unit is replaced, the workshop needs to program it, as it is supplied without software.
