What does this fault code mean?
The code is set when the gap between gear changes is longer than expected. The control module adjusts the hydraulic pressure in the clutches and brakes to suit the driving, so a mechanical or hydraulic fault in the transmission can be the cause.

What you can do
- 1Read the transmission's fault codes and fix any other codes first, as one of them may be the cause.
- 2Check the connectors at the transmission for contact resistance and oxidation, and make sure they are secure.
- 3Have a workshop check the oil quality and level, as these are important for the transmission to work properly.
- 4Test drive the car and check whether gear changes are too slow when shifting up.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop calibrate the gear position sensor, reset the adaptation and replace the control system.
