What does this fault code mean?
SLT is a linear pressure solenoid that sets the system pressure in the transmission, and the control module controls the current to it. The code is set when the control module detects a break in the circuit to SLT. The solenoid then cannot regulate the system pressure.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance in connections
- A break in the control signal wire or signal ground
- Linear pressure solenoid SLT is not working
- Connector or circuit board is damaged or dirty
- Damaged solenoid
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool: read the current to solenoid SLT in live data and see whether it changes when the accelerator pedal moves.
- 2Check the wires to the solenoid for breaks and for a short to ground.
- 3Check the connectors at the transmission for contact resistance and oxidation.
- 4Have a workshop open the transmission control system and check solenoid SLT, as the fault can lie in the solenoid.
- 5If no fault is found in the wires or the solenoid, have a workshop replace the control system.

- The general warning lamp is lit
- The eco lamp lights up
- The lock-up function does not engage
- Harsh gear changes
- Manual gear changes are not possible
