What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns the measured current in the circuit to solenoid SLC2, which controls the transmission's pressure. It is set when the current is too low or too high compared with the value allowed.
Possible causes
- Control signal wire shorted to voltage
- The linear pressure solenoid is not working
- Internal fault in the transmission controller (TCM)
- Damaged solenoid
- Wires or circuit board are damaged
What you can do
- 1Check the connectors at the transmission for dirt and loose connections.
- 2Inspect the wires to the solenoid for breaks, chafing and places where they may have come into contact with voltage.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wire is not shorted to plus (battery voltage) or to ground (the body).
- 4Have a workshop open the transmission control system and inspect the solenoid for oxidation and dirt.
- 5If the fault cannot be found, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit.
