What does this fault code mean?
This fault code is event controlled and does not point to a fault inside the control module; it is designed as information. It shows that the voltage to the electromagnetic oil pump (EMOP) in the transmission has been too low. The pump ensures the right pressure and flow when automatic engine start/stop is active.
Possible causes
- Voltage too low in the system
- Contact resistance, oxidation or a loose connection in the connector
- The connector or cable is damaged
- Damaged system relay
- A battery charger giving the wrong voltage was connected
- Damaged battery or damaged generator
What you can do
- 1The code is informative and does not indicate a fault in the control module, so it does not need to be repaired in itself. Read and note it if you wish
- 2Check that the battery is in good condition and that no charger giving the wrong voltage has been connected
- 3Check that the battery terminals are tight and free from oxidation, and that cables and connectors are undamaged
- 4Have a workshop check the generator and the system relay if the voltage remains too low
Symptoms you may notice2
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work while driving
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work at idle
What the fault can affect1
- The function for automatic engine start/stop is switched off
