What does this fault code mean?
This fault code is event controlled and does not indicate a fault in the control module; it is designed as information. It shows that the voltage to the electromagnetic oil pump (EMOP) in the transmission has been too high. The pump supplies the gearbox with the right pressure and flow while automatic engine start/stop is active.
Possible causes
- Voltage too high
- Contact resistance, oxidation or a loose connection in the connector
- The connector or cable is damaged
- Damaged system relay
- Damaged battery
What you can do
- 1The code is informative and does not indicate a fault in the control module. Read and note it if you wish
- 2Check that the battery is in good condition and that no charger giving the wrong voltage has been connected
- 3Check that the connectors to the oil pump and system relay are seated firmly and free from oxidation, and that the cables are undamaged
- 4Have a workshop check the system relay if the code keeps appearing
Symptoms you may notice2
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work while driving
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work at idle
What the fault can affect1
- The function for automatic engine start/stop is switched off
