What does this fault code mean?
The fault code refers to the electromagnetic oil pump (EMOP), which ensures the gearbox receives the right pressure while automatic engine start/stop is active. The code is event controlled and does not indicate a fault in the control module. It shows that engine speed and the transmission input speed differ too little, which may be due to a low oil level, a worn clutch or a damaged pump.
Possible causes
- Low oil level
- Damaged or worn clutch
- The electromagnetic oil pump (EMOP) is damaged
What you can do
- 1The code is informative. Read and note it, clear it and drive the car to see if it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the transmission oil level, as a low oil level is a possible cause
- 3Have a workshop check the clutch and oil pump, and replace them if they are damaged or worn
Symptoms you may notice2
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work while driving
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work at idle
What the fault can affect1
- The function for automatic engine start/stop is switched off
