What does this fault code mean?

Although the fault code is named short-circuit to voltage, it applies when the drive circuit feeding the electromagnetic oil pump (EMOP) has too much voltage. The code is event controlled and does not indicate a fault in the control module; it is designed as information. The pump supplies the gearbox with the right pressure and flow while automatic engine start/stop is active.

Possible causes

Contact resistance, oxidation or poor contact at plugs and joints
Short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable
The electromagnetic oil pump (EMOP) is damaged
Internal fault inside the control module (TCM) of the gearbox or in the transmission's control system

What you can do

2Have a workshop check the connectors and the cable to the oil pump for oxidation, loose connections and a short-circuit to voltage
