What does this fault code mean?
Although the fault code is named feedback signal, it applies to a signal fault running from the TCM to the electric oil pump. The pump supplies the gearbox with the right pressure and flow while automatic engine start/stop is active. The fault is general and does not say more precisely what type of fault it is.
Possible causes
- Connector or cable is damaged
- Internal fault in the electric oil pump
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and drive the car to see if it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors on the control module and the oil pump for oxidation and loose connections, and the signal cables between them for an open circuit
- 3Have a workshop replace the electric oil pump if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice2
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work while driving
- Automatic engine start/stop does not work at idle
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
