What does this fault code mean?
The fault code concerns the wrong shift fork moving: shift fork 3 moves instead of shift fork 1, which has been requested. A hydraulically controlled OEC valve decides whether the odd or even gears are used, and the transmission control module (TCM) has detected the deviation. The fault is general and does not say more precisely what type of fault it is.
Possible causes
- Damaged controller for odd and even gears (OEC valve)
- Fault in the hydraulic system
- Damaged solenoid CSMS1
- Damaged solenoid CCFS
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and drive the car to see if it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the OEC valve, the hydraulic system and solenoids CSMS1 and CCFS
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit, as the new control module must be programmed by the workshop
