What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named low, it refers to an open circuit to pressure control solenoid F (SLC1). The solenoid then cannot regulate the system pressure, and the fault shows up in the gear changes and in the lock-up function.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance in the connections
- Open circuit in the control signal wire or in the signal ground
- Signal wire shorted to ground
- Solenoid SLC1 is not working
- Fault inside the TCM itself
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the battery is in good condition and that the fuses are intact
- 3Check the transmission oil level and look for oil leaks
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check the wiring for open circuit and short to ground and solenoid SLC1, and replace the mechatronic unit if needed
