What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module (TCM) has detected an electrical fault in the circuit to the auxiliary electric transmission oil pump. The pump is meant to ensure the transmission gets the right pressure and flow while the automatic start/stop function is active, so that pressure does not drop. The fault means the car cannot be driven on electric propulsion.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance, oxidation or poor connection in connectors or joints
- Open circuit or short to ground in the wiring
- Short to supply voltage in the wiring
- Internal fault in the electric oil pump
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check the battery condition and that the fuses are intact
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop check the connectors and signal wires to the oil pump, and replace the electric oil pump if needed
Symptoms you may notice2
- The drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD switch off automatically and are not available
- In HYBRID mode the combustion engine is active all the time or too often
What the fault can affect1
- Electric propulsion is not possible
