What does this fault code mean?
Shift fork C's position sensor reports neutral even though the speeds show a gear is engaged. The control module cannot rely on the fork position, which can affect the gear changes. Possible causes are a faulty sensor, a sensor in the wrong position, the voltage supply to the sensor or the control module.

- Damaged position sensor
- The sensor is in an incorrect position
- Incorrect voltage supply to the sensor
- Damaged transmission control module (TCM)
What you can do
- 1Read all transmission codes and deal with any other transmission codes first
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read position sensor 3 in live data and check whether it shows neutral while a gear is engaged
- 3Have a workshop check the voltage supply to the position sensors
- 4If the sensor values are outside or at the limit, have a workshop replace the mechatronic unit

- The malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) comes on or behaves abnormally
- Yellow symbol and text message in the display
- Gear changes take too long
- Harsh or jerky gear changes
- No automatic gear changes
