What does this fault code mean?
Shift fork B has locked and does not move when requested, so the requested gear may not engage correctly. This affects how the car drives and changes gear. The fault may be a damaged shift fork, a damaged position sensor or a lack of hydraulic pressure in the shift system.

- Damaged shift fork
- Damaged position sensor
- No hydraulic pressure to the shift system
What you can do
- 1Read all transmission codes first and deal with any codes for hydraulics or position sensors
- 2Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop establish whether the mechatronic unit or the whole gearbox is at fault

- The malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) comes on or behaves abnormally
- Yellow symbol and text message in the display
- Shifts occur too early, too late or too often
- No movement forward or in reverse with a gear selected
- Harsh or jerky gear changes
