What does this fault code mean?
Shift fork C has stuck and does not move when the control module requests it, so the gear cannot be engaged as intended. Shifts may then be harsh, jerky or late. The cause may be a damaged shift fork, a damaged position sensor or a lack of hydraulic pressure in the shift system.

- Damaged shift fork
- Damaged position sensor
- No hydraulic pressure to the shift system
What you can do
- 1Read all transmission codes first and deal with any codes for hydraulics or position sensors
- 2Read and clear the code, then road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop establish whether the fault lies in the mechatronic unit or in the transmission

- The malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) comes on or behaves abnormally
- Yellow symbol and text message in the display
- Shifts occur too early, too late or too often
- Harsh or jerky gear changes
- No automatic gear changes
