What does this fault code mean?
Shift fork D has stuck and does not move when the control module asks for a movement, so gear changes can be missing or wrong. The cause may be a damaged shift fork, a damaged position sensor or no hydraulic pressure in the shift system.

- Damaged shift fork
- Damaged position sensor
- No hydraulic pressure to the shift system
What you can do
- 1Read all transmission codes first and deal with any codes for hydraulics or position sensors
- 2Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop establish whether the mechatronic unit or the transmission itself needs replacing

- The malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) comes on or behaves abnormally
- Yellow symbol and text message in the display
- No automatic gear changes
- Harsh or jerky gear changes
- Gear changes take too long
