What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module (TCM) is receiving no communication from the brake control module (BCM) on the CAN network. The cause can be disturbances or brief interruptions on the network, but the fault can also lie in the brake control module.
Possible causes
- Disturbances or brief interruptions on the CAN network
- Fault in the brake control module (BCM)
What you can do
- 1Start by clearing up the fault codes stored in the CEM and the brake control module
- 2Check the connectors and wiring to the brake control module and to the gearbox control module for looseness, corrosion and damage
- 3Clear the code and see whether it returns, as a brief interruption may have caused it
- 4The braking system is safety-critical, so have a workshop carry out any work on the brake control module and the CAN wiring
