What does this fault code mean?

The transmission control module (TCM) is receiving no communication from the central electronic module (CEM) over the CAN network. The fault can be a temporary communication fault on the CAN network, or lie in the CEM or the transmission control module itself.

Damaged central electronic module (CEM)
Damaged transmission control module (TCM)

What you can do

1Start by dealing with stored codes in the CEM and the engine control module (ECM)
2Check the connectors and wiring in the CAN network for looseness, corrosion and damage
3Clear the code and see whether it comes back
4Have a workshop check the CEM and the transmission control module if the fault remains after these checks
