What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module (TCM) has compared its signal configuration with the one the central electronic module (CEM) sends out on the CAN network, and they do not match. This means the gearbox software is not compatible with the other software in the car.
Possible causes
- Incorrect software in the transmission control module (TCM)
- Incorrect signal configuration from the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check that the correct software is loaded in the transmission control module
- 2Have a workshop reprogram the transmission control module with the latest software
- 3If the fault remains after the software reload, the workshop needs to replace the gearbox mechatronic unit
- 4Clear the code once the software has been updated and check that it does not return
Symptoms you may notice1
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
