What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module (TCM) has received a signal from the engine control module (ECM) saying that the engine information is not reliable, and has therefore set the code. The fault therefore lies in the engine management and not in the gearbox.
Possible causes
- Fault in the engine control module (ECM)
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the engine control module (ECM) and the central electronic module (CEM) and deal with them first
- 2Clear the code only once the fault in the engine control module has been fixed, and check that it does not return
- 3Have a workshop troubleshoot the engine control module, as the fault lies there
