What does this fault code mean?
The transmission control module (TCM) has a battery voltage that differs from the voltage reported by the central electronic module (CEM). The code is only relevant to act on if it has been active for a long time and the car has functions that are not working. Otherwise it can be cleared without any other action.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance and corrosion in the connections
- The gearbox control module (TCM) itself is faulty
What you can do
- 1If the code has been active only briefly and no functions are failing, clear it without further action
- 2Check the battery charge and that the battery terminals are tight
- 3Check the connector at the transmission control module for contact resistance and corrosion
- 4If functions still fail, have a workshop compare the voltage in the transmission control module and the central electronic module (CEM)
