What does this fault code mean?
The traffic message channel module (TMC) keeps watch on the antenna amplifier and has found a break in the wiring between them. TMC receives traffic information over the radio signal and is used by the navigation to warn about queues and accidents.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the antenna cable between the antenna amplifier and the TMC module
- Poor contact or corrosion in the antenna connectors
- Damaged antenna amplifier
What you can do
- 1Check whether radio reception otherwise works – if the radio is also poor, the fault is probably in the antenna or amplifier
- 2Check the antenna connectors at the TMC module for poor contact and corrosion
- 3Find out whether the rear window, roof antenna or trim has recently been replaced or removed
- 4If the fault remains, have the antenna cable and amplifier checked by a workshop
