What does this fault code mean?
The traffic message control module (TMC) has registered a signal that is too high from the wiring to the antenna amplifier. The fault can be caused by the cable between the antenna amplifier and the TMC module being short-circuited to ground, in which case traffic information is not shown or does not update.
Possible causes
- The cable between the antenna amplifier and the TMC module is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the connectors to the TMC module are tight and free from corrosion
- 2Check the antenna cable between the TMC module and the antenna amplifier for chafing and damage
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the antenna wire has no contact with ground (the body)
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the antenna amplifier and the TMC module
Symptoms you may notice1
