Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The television module (TVM) checks the voltage on antenna 2. The code is stored when the voltage is too high, which happens when the cable between the antenna and the TV module has contact with voltage. TV reception can therefore become poor or fail completely.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to voltage in the wire that links antenna 2 with the Television Module (TVM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the TV system are intact.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and test-drive the TV function to see whether it comes back.
- 3Look for chafed spots, pinched areas and loose connections on the cable between the antenna and the TV module.
- 4With a multimeter you can check that the cable has no contact with voltage, meaning it is not shorted to the battery positive.
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: watch the antenna voltage in live data while the TV function is in use and see whether the value is abnormally high.
- 6If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the antenna and the cable.
Symptoms you may notice1
- TV reception is poor or does not work
