Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The television module (TVM) checks the voltage on antenna 4. The code is set when the voltage is too low, because the cable between the antenna and the TV module is short-circuited to ground. TV reception can then become poor or stop.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground in the wire that links antenna 4 with the Television Module (TVM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the TV system are intact.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and test-drive the TV function to see whether it returns.
- 3Look for pinched areas, chafed spots and moisture on the cable between antenna 4 and the TV module.
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the cable has no contact with ground (the bodywork).
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool: check the antenna voltage in live data while the TV function is in use and see whether it sits at an abnormally low level.
- 6If the fault remains after these checks, have a workshop check the antenna and the cable.
Symptoms you may notice1
- TV reception is poor or does not work
