What does this fault code mean?
The television module (TVM) checks the video signal (CVBS) that goes to the infotainment control module (ICM). The code is set when the signal is too low, which is caused by the signal cable between the TV module and the infotainment module having contact with ground. The TV function then does not work.
Possible causes
- The signal cable (CVBS) between the TV module and the infotainment module is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the TV system and the infotainment are intact.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and test-drive the TV function to see whether it returns.
- 3Look for chafing or pinched areas on the signal cable between the TV module and the infotainment module.
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable has no contact with ground (the bodywork).
- 5Check that the connectors at the TV module and the infotainment module are firmly seated and free from corrosion.
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the cable and the control modules.
