What does this fault code mean?
The television module (TVM) checks the video signal (CVBS) sent to the infotainment control module (ICM). The code is set when the signal is too high, which is caused by the signal cable between the TV module and the infotainment module having contact with voltage. The TV function can then stop working.
Possible causes
- The signal cable (CVBS) between the TV module and the infotainment module has a short circuit to voltage
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the TV system and the infotainment are intact.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and test-drive the TV function to confirm that it does not return.
- 3Look for pinched and chafed spots on the signal cable, especially where it runs close to other cables.
- 4With a multimeter you can check that the signal cable has no contact with battery voltage.
- 5Check that the connectors at the TV module and the infotainment module are firmly seated and not corroded.
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the cable and the control modules.
Symptoms you may notice1
- TV function does not work
