What does this fault code mean?
The TV module uses settings from the vehicle configuration file held in the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set at start-up when the TV module's own local configuration file is missing or incorrect. Faults in communication on the CAN and MOST networks can also lie behind it.
Possible causes
- The CAN network has a break between the infotainment module (ICM) and the CEM
- The MOST network has a break between the ICM and the TV module (TVM)
- The CEM is not configured correctly
- The CEM does not send out the vehicle signal configuration over the CAN network
- The ICM does not pass the vehicle signal configuration on to the MOST network
- The TV module does not suit this car, for example a second-hand unit with other software or hardware
What you can do
- 1Read off the codes, clear them and test-drive the TV function. If the code returns, continue with the next point.
- 2Check that the TV module is the right one for this particular car, especially if it is second-hand.
- 3Check the central electronic module (CEM) first, since it sends out the vehicle configuration.
- 4Look for loose, corroded or damaged connectors on the wiring to the CAN and MOST networks.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop read off the codes, load new software into the modules and check the configuration.
Symptoms you may notice2
- TV function does not work
