What does this fault code mean?
The TV module takes its settings from the vehicle configuration file held in the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when the TV module's configuration does not match the car's. If the infotainment theft protection (ITP) is active, the module is blocked from communicating on the MOST network.
Possible causes
- The infotainment theft protection (ITP) is activated
- The TV module does not suit this car, for example if a second-hand module with other software or hardware has been used
- Interference in the communication between the TV module (TVM) and the infotainment module (ICM)
- Interference in the communication between the infotainment module (ICM) and the central electronic module (CEM)
- The car's configuration file is incorrect
What you can do
- 1Read off the code, clear it and test-drive the TV function to see whether it returns.
- 2Check that the connectors between the TV module, the infotainment module and the central electronic module are firmly seated and not corroded.
- 3If the TV module has been replaced, check that it is the right one for this particular car, since a second-hand unit can cause the fault.
- 4If the TV module has been replaced it needs the correct software and approval from the theft protection. Have a workshop do this.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the configuration in the car and replace the TV module if needed.
