What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named battery voltage, it concerns the TV module checking its own system voltage against a reference held in the central electronic module (CEM). The code only needs action if it has been active for a longer period during the current driving cycle and you notice the TV function is not working. The fault can come from a break or a short to ground in the supply wire.
Possible causes
- The supply cable is short-circuited to ground
- Open circuit in the supply cable
What you can do
- 1Read off the code, clear it and test-drive the TV function to see whether it returns.
- 2Check that the fuses for the TV system are intact.
- 3Check that the battery is in good condition and that the battery terminals are clean and tight.
- 4Look for chafed or pinched spots on the supply wire to the TV module.
- 5Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire has no contact with ground (the bodywork) and is not broken.
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the power supply to the TV module.
Symptoms you may notice1
