What does this fault code mean?
The UEM monitors the buttons for the third-row reading lamps. The buttons share the same signal wire. The code is set when the signal from the buttons is too low, which happens when a button has stuck in the pressed position or the signal wire is short-circuited to ground.
Possible causes
- A switch for the third-row reading lamp has jammed in the depressed position
- The signal wire for the third-row reading lamp buttons is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check whether any of the buttons for the third-row reading lamps has stuck in the pressed position.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and check whether it returns once the buttons are released.
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the buttons has no contact with ground (the bodywork).
- 4Check that the fuses for the interior lighting are intact.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the wire and the upper electronic module.
Symptoms you may notice1
- The interior lighting does not work
