What does this fault code mean?
The code is set when the car's data differs from the remote receiver's configuration, or when the rear view mirror has an internal electrical fault. The remote control may then stop working on the car.
Possible causes
- Wrong frequency on the remote receiver
- Voltage fault between the RKE and the upper electronic module (UEM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the remote control works, and replace its battery if it is weak.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and test the remote control to see whether the code returns.
- 3If the CEM has been swapped out before the code appeared, the fault is probably in the data from it. Have a workshop reprogram it.
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop read off and program the module with new software, or replace it if needed.
Symptoms you may notice2
- The remote control does not work on the car
- The function cannot be activated or deactivated
