What does this fault code mean?
This code applies, depending on model, the cargo compartment lighting on the V70 and XC70, and the third-row reading lamps on the XC90. It is set when the control signal is too high. The cause is either the supply cable having contact with voltage or a break in it.
Possible causes
- The supply cable to the cargo compartment lighting or the third-row reading lamps has a short circuit to voltage
- Break in the supply cable to the cargo compartment lighting or the third-row reading lamps
What you can do
- 1Read off the code, clear it and check whether it returns.
- 2Check that the connectors at the lamp and the upper electronic module are firmly seated and not corroded.
- 3With a multimeter you can check that the supply cable has no contact with battery voltage.
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the cable is not broken.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the cable and the grounding of the lamps.
Symptoms you may notice2

- The interior lighting does not work
What the fault can affect1
