What does this fault code mean?
The upper electronic module (UEM) tries to save data to its memory, but the data is corrupted. The code is set at that point, and the cause is a fault in the module's EEPROM memory chip. The fault affects the interior lighting and the alarm, among other things.
Possible causes
- Fault in the EEPROM memory
What you can do
- 1Check whether the interior lighting and the alarm are still faulty.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and check whether it returns.
- 3Check that the fuses for the interior lighting and the alarm are intact.
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop read out the stored data if possible, and replace the upper electronic module.
Symptoms you may notice2
- The interior lighting does not work
- The alarm does not work
