Applies to the following models:
5 modelsS60 (2001–2009), S80 (1999–2006), V70 (2000–2008), V70 XC / XC70 (2001–2007), XC90 (2003–)
What does this fault code mean?
The code is set when the sun roof control module registers an internal fault. The reason may be that no control signal arrives from optical sensor 2 while the relay is engaged and the motor gets power. If the position wheel in the control module does not sit correctly against the drive wire, the code is also set. The automatic closing then does not work.
Possible causes
- No control signal from optical sensor 2 while the relay is engaged and the motor gets power
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop check that the position wheel in the sun roof control module sits correctly against the drive wire.
- 2Check that the sun roof can be operated in both directions.
- 3Read off the code, clear it and check whether it returns.
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the sun roof control module.
Symptoms you may notice1
- Automatic sun roof closing does not work
