The code is set when the sun roof control module registers an internal fault. The reason is that the supply wire for the rearward movement of the sun roof has a short to voltage. The electric sun roof then does not work.
Possible causes
- The supply wire for the rearward movement of the sun roof has a short to voltage
What you can do
- 1Try to move the sun roof to its end positions.
- 2With a multimeter you can check that the wire between the sun roof control module and the roof lamp is free of voltage contact.
- 3Check that the wire from the sun roof switch to the roof lamp is not chafed or pinched.
- 4Look for loose connectors and oxidation at the sun roof control module and the roof lamp.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the sun roof switch.
