What does this fault code mean?
The display in the interior rear view mirror can show a signal for one of two functions, the seat belt reminder or AOS, and these need different hardware. The upper electronic module (UEM) compares the identity number of the fitted mirror with the software installed. The code is set when they do not match, and the SRS warning lamp then lights.

- The identity number read off does not suit the installed function
What you can do
- 1If the SRS warning lamp is lit, have a workshop check the airbag system.
- 2Read off the code, clear it and check whether it returns.
- 3Have a workshop check that the correct rear view mirror is fitted for this car.
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop read out the programmed data if possible and replace the upper electronic module.
