What does this fault code mean?
The upper electronic module (UEM) receives the signals from the tyre pressure sensors and holds an internal list of which sensors belong to the car. The code is set when the transmissions from the first of the four approved sensors stop while driving. The pressure for that wheel then is not shown.
Possible causes
- Defective tyre pressure sensor
- The receiver for the tyre pressure signals is not working
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop activate each tyre pressure sensor with diagnostic equipment and check that they show different ID numbers.
- 2If the sensor for the affected wheel does not show up, have a workshop replace it.
- 3Clear the code and check whether it returns.
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the receiver.
Symptoms you may notice2
- Message in the display
- The tyre pressure monitoring warning lamp lights or behaves abnormally
