Cloning of Volvo VCM module

Cloning of data from a defective Volvo VCM module to a used unit following mechanical connector damage. The unit has been fitted with a new battery and reset for operation.

During battery replacement, mechanical damage occurred to the PCB connector for the VCM module backup battery. As the circuit board traces were irreparably damaged, data was transferred from the original processor to a used hardware unit with a matching part number.

Following programming, a new backup battery was installed and the diagnostic trouble codes were cleared. Testing via diagnostic equipment confirmed that the VCM module communicates correctly with the vehicle CAN bus and that fault codes related to voltage supply have been eliminated.
