Immobilizer, key recognition, and ignition authorization.
Covers all generations from EWS1–4 and CAS1–4 to FEM/BDC. Manages key validation, ignition enable, and steering lock. Cloning requires synchronization with DME/DDE and instrument cluster.

CAS (Car Access System) is BMW’s central access and immobilizer computer, storing encrypted key hashes, ISN codes, and authorizing ignition start sequences.
Interrogates key transponders, triggers Terminal 15/30 relays, commands the electronic steering column lock (ELV), and exchanges ISN handshakes with DME/DDE.
What is inside the module? Microcontrollers, memory types, and bus networks.
Hardware architectures differ significantly across model years and platforms.

EEPROM extraction and ISN/transponder mapping into matching unit.
DME: EWS manipulation protection active / start blocked.
DDE: EWS tampering / rolling code desync between CAS and DDE.
CAS: ELV (electronic steering lock) internal hardware jam / fault.
CAS: Control module internal processor fault or EEPROM corruption.
CAS: Brake light switch signal missing / gear interlock not satisfied.
Compare donor part numbers and locate compatible replacements.
We connect directly to the CAS MCU/EEPROM on our programming bench, decrypt the ISN codes and transponder slot matrix. All data is transferred and verified on the replacement unit so existing keys and DME/DDE operate without on-car adaptation.
