Technical Description
DTC C0102 is set when the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) detects an electrical malfunction, open circuit, or short to ground within the Traction Control System (TCS) / Electronic Stability Control (ESC) circuit, typically related to wheel speed feedback or TCS valve modulation. The module monitors current/voltage thresholds; if the signal drops below critical parameters during self-test or active cycle, stability and traction management are inhibited to prevent erratic brake interventions.
Possible Causes
1. Skadat kablage, skavda ledningar eller korroderade kontaktdon i hjulhuset vid rörliga chassidelar.
2. Defekt aktiv hjulhastighetsgivare (internt avbrott eller kortslutning i Hall-elementet).
3. Förorenad, sprucken eller felmonterad magnetisk givarring (multipol-enkoder i hjullagret).
4. Internt komponentfel eller drivstegsdefekt i ABS/ESC-hydraulaggregatet (EBCM).

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
