Technical Description
DTC C0314 is triggered by the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) when it detects a circuit malfunction, open circuit, short to ground, or implausible feedback voltage from the transfer case neutral switch / actuator lock circuit. The module continuously monitors circuit integrity through bias resistors; an out-of-range voltage or inconsistent status logic compared to wheel speeds and transmission gear triggers a fail-safe mode, disabling AWD/4WD engagement.
Possible Causes
1. Korrosion eller stiftdeformation i kontaktstycket vid fördelningslådan (utsatt för vägsalt/fukt)
2. Skadat kablage (skav, avbrott eller kortslutning mot chassi) mellan TCCM och fördelningslåda
3. Defekt intern lägesindikator, neutralkontakt eller elektromagnetiskt ställdon i fördelningslådan
4. Defekt TCCM (Transfer Case Control Module) eller intern drivstegsskada

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
