Technical Description
DTC C0393 indicates a circuit failure (open circuit, short-to-ground, short-to-voltage, or out-of-range current draw) detected by the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) or Rear Differential Control Module (RDCM) in the electronic clutch actuator circuit. The module monitors current feedback through internal H-bridge shunt resistors. If unexpected impedance or current is observed during diagnostic pulsing or engagement commands, the AWD/4WD system enters fail-safe mode and disables active torque distribution.
Possible Causes

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
