Technical Description
The control module has detected a fault in the Cylinder 6 Misfire (P0306). The fault is isolated to cylinder 6, positioned on the inner block section with asymmetric intake runner pulses. This directly impacts individual cylinder volumetric efficiency, firing synchronization, and dedicated harness branch loading.

Symptoms
Recommended Solution
Swap the component on cylinder 6 to cylinder 3 and clear DTCs to confirm if the fault follows the part.
Verify underlying mechanical operation and rule out blockage, vacuum leaks, or mechanical binding.
Verify loaded supply voltage and harness terminal pins at Cylinder 6 Misfire.
Check circuit continuity and ground-side voltage drop (< 0.05 V) for Cylinder 6 Misfire.
Inspect spark plug gap and ceramic insulator for carbon tracking, cracks, or dielectric puncture.
Mechanic's Tip
Excessive spark plug gap forces the secondary voltage requirement higher, stressing the coil insulation until internal dielectric breakdown destroys the new coil pack.
