Technical Description
DTC C0179 indicates a circuit malfunction or plausibility fault in the Torque Request / Traction Control interface between the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) and the Engine Control Module (ECM). The system relies on a dedicated discrete PWM or communication line to request engine torque reduction during wheel slip events. A short to ground, short to voltage, high resistance, or transceiver failure flags this code and inhibits active stability/traction intervention.
Possible Causes
1. Skavd ledningsmatta, kabelbrott eller oxid i kontaktdon mellan EBCM och ECM.
2. Internt utgångssteg/transistorfel (öppen krets eller kortsluten drivare) i EBCM.
3. Defekt intern pull-up resistor eller ingångsbuffer i ECM.
4. Dålig chassijordning eller spänningsfall till EBCM vid dynamisk belastning.
