Technical Description
P0152 occurs when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the Oxygen (O2) sensor for Bank 2, Sensor 1, is maintaining a voltage above the normal operating range (typically exceeding 0.9V to 1.2V for more than 120 seconds). Under normal closed-loop operation, the sensor should oscillate rapidly between 0.1V and 0.9V. A sustained high voltage signals an excessively rich air-fuel mixture or a circuit fault such as a short to voltage.
Possible Causes
Faulty Oxygen (O2) sensor (internal short)
Wiring harness damage (short to voltage/B+)
Excessive fuel pressure (faulty regulator)
Leaking fuel injector on Bank 2
Internal ECM failure

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
