Technical Description
P0241 is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects a voltage signal from Boost Pressure Sensor 'B' that is below the calibrated threshold, typically lower than 0.2V to 0.5V. This indicates a potential short to ground or an open circuit. Sensor 'B' usually refers to the secondary boost sensor, often located after the intercooler or in twin-turbo configurations. The ECM relies on this data to manage wastegate duty cycles and fuel enrichment. When this fault occurs, the ECM will typically enter 'Limp Mode' to prevent engine damage from incorrect boost levels.
Possible Causes
Faulty Boost Pressure Sensor (MAP/Boost sensor B)
Wiring damage (short to ground or open circuit on signal wire)
Corroded or loose connectors at the sensor
Internal ECM (Engine Control Module) short circuit

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
